Jesus did everything for you

During this Christmas season, I just wanted to write about how much Jesus loves us and has done everything for us.

Isaiah 9 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.”

The Almighty God is our Daddy – our Everlasting Father – who came as the Son in the form of Jesus. Our Daddy loved us so much that He died to save us. He is our prince of peace that won the victory by removing the accusation and curse of the law. We have peace because our sins have been forgiven and taken away. He is so wonderful to us that He has taken the cares of our life on his shoulders. The government of our lives / the worries of our life is on His strong shoulders. He carried the cross and takes away all our burdens. He will never stop taking care of us in this life.

Isaiah 53 ” He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”

Under the law, man was cursed to suffer because he could not obey the law perfectly. Therefore Jesus came and was despised so that we are cherished. He was rejected so that we are accepted. He suffered greatly so that we can be blessed. He endured great pain so that we can have great joy! He was dishonored so that we are honored and seated with Him as children of God. He was pierced and crushed on the cross for our healing and restoration. He was punished so that we have great peace in Daddy’s love.

2nd Corinthians 5 “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”

Daddy God came to earth in the form of Jesus who never sinned and yet He became sin on the cross so that we became God’s righteousness without doing anything! Just think of it – we who did nothing good, were made righteous because Jesus did everything for us.

Romans 5 “18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.”

We were made righteous simply by Christ’s finished work and nothing of our efforts. God gave us the greatest gift – His perfect righteous standing – freely – not because of our good deeds but only because of Jesus Christ’s finished work.

Hebrews 7 “ The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.”

The law demanded perfection but man could not do it, therefore God made a New Covenant where Jesus made us PERFECT once and for all! His perfection satisfied the law and made us perfect and acceptable.

Hebrews 10 “Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.”He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all….. For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever “

The law (knowledge of good/evil) only causes harm in people’s lives but Jesus is the good shepherd who gave up His life to give us abundant life! He died to give us life because He loves us so much.

John 10 “ The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”

Jesus is the living bread – the tree of life for us is to know Daddy God’s love through Jesus Christ – this gives us eternal life forever and abundant life in this world.

John 6 ” 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.””

Adam’s curse was that he had to work hard to get the desire of his heart with great struggle and pain. But Jesus gave up His desires with great pain, blood, sweat and tears to freely give us the desire of our hearts.

Luke 22 “39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him.40 On reaching the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.” 41 He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, 42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” 43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.”

Psalm 21 “You have granted him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips”

Jesus was homeless so that we are given homes to live in. Jesus became poor and naked so that some believers are rich and well-clothed so that they can bless poorer believers.

Matthew 8 “20 Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

2nd Corinthians 8 “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”

Jesus always blessed people:

  • He turned water into wine when they ran out of the wine
  • He provided food for thousands when they were hungry
  • He healed the sick
  • He opened the eyes of the blind
  • He made the lame walk
  • He raised the dead
  • and much more….

He did this because of His great love for us

Matthew 9 “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them,”

Zechariah 10 “I will restore them because I have compassion on them.”

Zechariah 9 “even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.”

He did all of this because He became a curse on the cross, suffering for mankind so that we can enjoy the blessings. If we have suffered then He will restore us in His love. We are not called to suffer for Christ or carry the cross but we are called to enjoy life thanks to His suffering!

It’s because He became a curse to bless us. It brings great joy to Daddy God to see us (His kids) enjoy life and be blessed & happy.

Galatians 3 “ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the blessing might come through Christ Jesus”

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Daddy God loves you so much that He died on the cross for you through His Son Jesus Christ.

He did everything for you and me.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on the cross for our sins and was raised from the dead after 3 days. Everyone who believes in Jesus receives the forgiveness of sins, eternal life and the righteousness of God as a free gift.
