Daddy’s love covers our failures

Have you been angry at God? Have you cursed Him? Have you complained against Him bitterly? I want to give you good news. Daddy still loves you and finds no flaw in you! He does not judge you. But in the past people told me that we have to be faithful to God because our problems are the trials of faith in the wilderness journey. They quote the scripture below to prove their point:

1st Corinthians 10 For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers and sisters, that our ancestors were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. They all ate the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: “The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.” We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. We should not test Christ, as some of them did—and were killed by snakes. 10 And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel. 11 These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the culmination of the ages has come. “

The Bible says that 1st Century Church was the descendants of the Israelites who were tested in the wilderness for 40 years. In the same way the Church was tested for 40 years between the Cross (30AD) and the 2nd coming (70AD). They could not sin by complaining or getting angry at God during the trials and tribulations.

Their problems were actually the discipline of God just like the Jews were disciplined in the wilderness towards the promised land of Canaan.

Hebrews 12 “Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father?……14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. 15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. 16 See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. 17 Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not change what he had done…..28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our “God is a consuming fire.”

Why were they being disciplined with problems and tribulations? It’s because THEY WERE UNDER THE LAW! The law would only pass away at the 2nd coming. That’s when the kingdom came. The consuming fire was the destruction of Jerusalem that consumed the law in the end. The law demanded perfection and Jesus commanded them to be PERFECT as God Himself until the judgment day!

Matthew 5:48 “Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect”

They were under the judgment of the law until the 2nd coming in 70AD. That is when the law ended and the judgment was over. This is why we saw people like Ananias and Sapphira dying on the spot when they sinned before 70AD. This is why the Corinthians perished when they ate the Lord’s Supper unworthily. It’s because they were under the law.

But we are under the New Covenant

The law ended in 70AD at the judgment day and God made a new covenant. The law has passed away. All it’s demands for perfection have passed away. God does not command anything to us today because He has accepted us the way we are. God says this to us today:

Hebrews 10 “I will remember your sins no more”

Today when we complain to God, then He does not judge us.
Today when we get angry and curse God, then our Daddy still loves us the way we are.
Why is that?
It’s because God knows we are imperfect human beings who face problems in life.
A perfect God does not expect perfection from imperfect human beings.
He is our Daddy and He loves us – his kids !
His response to our behavior is this:
Peter promised to follow Christ and failed. He denied Christ with cursing and swearing! And yet what did Jesus do? He looked at him with love and pity.
He says “I do not judge you. I love you because you are my beloved”

1st Corinthians 13 “Love keeps no record of wrongs….Love is patient, love is kind”

1st Peter 4 “Love covers a multitude of sins”

All we need is to know more of this amazing love of Daddy God !
We are told that God is far away from us when we fail. We assume that He is angry with us or disappointed in us. But I want to tell you that Jesus came for the failures of the world. He did not come to those who have perfect faith!
His death on the Cross is greater than your sins!
His love is greater than your sins of unbelief, anger, doubt, worry, wrong beliefs!
If you curse Him, He will still bless you!
If you hate Him, He still loves you!
His love is GREATER. It’s because He IS LOVE!
His love is UNCONDITIONAL.
DADDY’s LOVE is GREATER than all our failures!
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died on the cross for our sins and was raised from the dead after 3 days. Everyone who believes in Jesus receives the forgiveness of sins, eternal life and the righteousness of God as a free gift.
